About The Quad Counties Loop

The Quad Counties Loop is the Ontario Federation of ATV Clubs’ (OFATV) latest showcase route—a full-day or weekend adventure that stitches together some of the province’s most scenic and rider-friendly trails.

This loop links together four OFATV member clubs across Simcoe, Grey, Bruce, and Wellington counties to create an interconnected off-road experience of more than 200 km of continuous, signed, and maintained trail. Whether you’re a seasoned rider or just looking for a new weekend destination, the Quad Counties Loop offers variety, convenience, and plenty of reasons to stop and explore along the way.

What Riders Can Expect

Designed with both touring riders and local club members in mind, the Quad Counties Loop mixes wide forest corridors, rolling farm country, and hidden backwoods connectors. Each section is clearly marked with OFATV signage and mapped in the QuadON App (Android and IOS)—the official trail-map app for OFATV permit holders—so navigation is simple even for first-time visitors. Staging areas with parking for trucks and trailers can be found at several trailheads, and fuel, food, and accommodations are available in the towns dotted around the route, making it easy to plan a single-day ride or a multi-day trip.

Bringing Communities Together

The loop is more than just a riding opportunity. By joining four counties and multiple clubs, it strengthens volunteer networks and brings riders into small communities that rely on tourism. Cafés, gas stations, and local attractions along the trail all benefit from increased visitation, while riders enjoy new services, events, and club activities. For OFATV, the Quad Counties Loop represents a step toward its long-term goal of a province-wide permit system with seamless inter-club riding.

How to Ride the Loop

A valid OFATV trail permit is required to ride any portion of the Quad Counties Loop. The permit funds the trail maintenance, signage, insurance, and volunteer efforts that keep the system safe and enjoyable. Riders can purchase permits online at OFATV.org or through their local club. Once you have your permit, simply open the QuadON App, search “Quad Counties Loop,” and download the route to your phone before you head out.

Your Next Adventure Awaits

Whether you’re looking for a fall colours tour, a spring mud run, or a summer weekend getaway with friends, the Quad Counties Loop is ready to welcome you. Pack your gear, plan your stops, and experience one of Ontario’s most exciting new ATV routes this season.
