As the Executive Director of OFATV, I am proud to announce the launch of our new contest featuring an incredible prize: a brand new Can-Am Renegade EFI Youth ATV!

By signing up and completing the Ready to RideON course anytime before June 30, 2025, you will automatically be entered into a raffle to win a Can-Am Renegade EFI Youth ATV!


How Ready to RideON started

The journey to creating Ready to RideON has been one of passion, dedication, and a strong commitment to the safety of our youth. As a rider, I know the thrill and excitement that comes with riding. As a mother, I can’t understate the importance of equipping our young riders with the necessary skills and knowledge to enjoy this sport safely. I’ve seen far too many tragic stories of young riders losing their lives in ATV accidents.

Ready to RideON is Ontario’s first online ATV training program specifically designed for youth riders aged 12 and up. This comprehensive course covers everything from the basics of ATV operation to advanced riding techniques, ensuring that our young riders are well-prepared for the trails. Ready to RideON was built in collaboration with BRP and Yamaha, ensuring that the training is comprehensive and industry-approved.

While Ready to RideON doesn’t replace 1:1 training, which remains the gold standard for ATV training, it allows us to reach far more youth by providing an accessible online option. And unlike snowmobiling or boating, where there is a mandated requirement for training, there is no such requirement for youth ATV riders in Ontario. This course aims to fill that gap, ensuring that our young riders are equipped with the necessary knowledge and skills needed to operate these vehicles safely.

Our goal, ultimately, is to make ATV riding a safe and enjoyable activity for the next generation of riders.

 

How to enter the contest

  1. Sign Up: Visit Ready to RideON and enroll in the course.
  2. Complete the Course: Take the time to learn and complete the online training.
  3. Win: Once you’ve completed the course, you’ll be automatically entered into the raffle for a chance to win the Can-Am Renegade EFI Youth ATV.

Note: If you have taken the course anytime since March 2024, you will be automatically entered into the contest. The contest runs until June 30, 2025. Winners will be contacted by email.
